    Product Description & Overview

Add a water line for your refrigerator, ice maker, freezer, humidifier, evaporative cooler or filtration system by tapping straight into a copper pipe. The self-piercing saddle valve installs without shutting off the main water or soldering.

    What's in the kit

    • Saddle valve: 1/4" OD quick connect, lead-free brass, self-piercing
    • Inline ball valve: 1/4" OD quick connect
    • Female adapter: 1/4" OD quick connect x 1/4" COMP
    • Tubing: 25 ft of 1/4" OD white LLDPE, compliant with NSF/ANSI 61
    • Step-by-step instruction manual
    • Fits: copper pipe only, 3/8" OD to 1-5/8" OD (not for PEX, CPVC or other non-copper pipe)
    • Tools: basic tools such as a screwdriver
    • Tubing: cut to length with a clean, square cut to prevent leaks

Which ice maker kit do I need?

    • Tapping into the under-sink shut-off valve (3/8" COMP or 1/2" OD - 7/16" SJ): ICEMK2514 (1/4" OD) or ICEMK2538 (3/8" OD)
    • Running a line from an existing RO or water filtration system: ROFKIT2514
    • A dedicated water valve right behind the fridge: PEX6FADP2D (6 ft PEX line)
    • Tapping a bare copper pipe with no valve: ICEMKNV2514 (self-piercing saddle valve)

    Installation

Clamp the self-piercing saddle valve onto a copper pipe and tighten it as shown in the kit manual. Cut the tubing square, push it into the quick connect fittings and run it to the appliance, then turn the valve on and check for leaks.
