    Product Description & Overview

    This heavy-duty copper press x PEX B crimp fitting joins copper pipe to PEX B pipe. The press end has an inboard bead and EPDM O-ring, so a ProPress tool makes a clean, watertight seal in seconds with no flame, solder or flux, in wet or dry conditions.

    On the PEX side, use a PEX crimp tool to crimp a PEX B crimp ring onto the barbed end. PEX rings are not included.

    • Size and connection: 1" press (P) x 1" PEX B crimp
    • Material: lead-free copper, virgin EPDM O-ring
    • Pipe: K, L or M copper tubing to PEX B pipe
    • Tools: compatible with most ProPress electronic, hydraulic and manual tools
    • Applications: potable water (sink, shower, washer), HVAC and underground, residential, commercial or industrial, new or retrofit, as allowed by local code
    • Manufacturer part number: 9P7003

    Why press instead of solder: no torches, tanks or flux to carry into tight spaces, and safer repairs with no open flame.

    Installation

    Press (P) end: cut the copper pipe square, deburr, mark the insertion depth, push it in fully and press with a ProPress-compatible tool. No flame or solder.

    PEX end: slide the crimp or clamp ring onto the PEX, push the fitting in fully, position the ring and secure it with the matching PEX tool. Check copper crimp rings with a go/no-go gauge.
