1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Metpure Inc. ("Metpure," "we," "us," or "our") sells water filtration products and parts. We are located at 4773 Brooks St., Unit D, Montclair, CA 91763, USA.

3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Process, ship, and support your orders, returns, and warranty claims
- Create and manage your account, including reviewing Met Pro applications, credit terms, and tax-exempt status
- Respond to support and sales inquiries, including on phone calls
- Send transactional messages such as order confirmations and shipping updates
- Send marketing emails and texts you have agreed to receive
- Show you relevant ads on other websites and measure how well our ads work
- Understand how visitors use the Site and improve it
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with laws, enforce our terms, and protect our rights
Call transcription. We do not record the audio of phone calls. Calls with our sales and support teams may be transcribed and summarized by AI tools and saved to our customer records for follow-up, quality, and training. We tell you at the start of the call when this is on. If you prefer, ask us to turn it off or reach us by email instead.
4. Cookies, pixels, and session recording
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies on the Site and in our emails.
| Type | What it does | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Runs the store: cart, checkout, login, security | Shopify |
| Analytics | Measures traffic and how pages perform | Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics |
| Session recording | Records clicks, scrolls, and mouse movements to find usability problems | Microsoft Clarity |
| Marketing and advertising | Shows our ads on other sites and measures results | Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Shopify Audiences, and similar ad platforms |
| Email and personalization | Tracks email opens and clicks; remembers browsing for relevant follow-ups | Klaviyo |
Session recording. Microsoft Clarity records how you interact with our pages. We configure it to mask text you type into form fields, and payment details are entered on our processor's secure checkout, not recorded. Clarity's data use is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Your controls. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in our cookie banner, change your choices anytime through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the Site footer, block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google Analytics Opt-out. Blocking necessary cookies may stop the cart or checkout from working.
Do Not Track. Browsers' "Do Not Track" signals have no common standard, so we do not respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (see Section 7).
5. How we disclose information
We disclose personal information to:
- Service providers that work for us under contract: Shopify (store platform and payments), shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, Klaviyo (email and SMS), Google and Microsoft (analytics and productivity tools), RingCentral (phone and call transcription), Pipedrive (business customer records), and customer support and IT vendors
- Advertising partners such as Google, Meta, and Shopify Audiences, through cookies and pixels or by sending a hashed email, to show and measure ads
- Marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, and eBay, only as needed to fulfill and support orders placed there
- Legal and safety recipients, when required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, customers, or others
- A buyer or successor, if Metpure is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
Selling and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies and pixels, and our participation in Shopify Audiences, may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, or as "targeted advertising," under California and other state laws. You can opt out at any time (see Section 7). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
6. Email and text message marketing
Email. If you subscribe or buy from us, we may send marketing emails about products, offers, and installation tips. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Opting out does not stop order or account messages.
Text messages (SMS). We do not currently send marketing texts. If we offer them in the future and you opt in, Metpure will send recurring automated marketing texts, such as offers and cart reminders, to the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help, or email support@metpure.com.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing. We share them only with our messaging providers so they can deliver our texts. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Your privacy choices and rights
Opt out of selling, sharing, and targeted ads. Click "Your Privacy Choices" in the Site footer, submit our Privacy Request form, or email support@metpure.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share." We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid opt-out for that browser or device.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other US states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we have about you and how we use and disclose it
- Get a copy of your information in a portable format
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for taxes or warranties)
- Opt out of selling, sharing, targeted advertising, and profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects
- Limit use of sensitive personal information. We use it only for purposes the law allows without an opt-out, so this right does not currently apply to Metpure.
- Not be discriminated against for using these rights. We will not deny you goods, charge you different prices, or give you lower-quality service because you made a request. Met Pro business pricing and promotions open to all customers are not affected by privacy requests.
How to make a request. Submit our Privacy Request form, or email support@metpure.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity by matching information you give us with what we have, such as your email and a recent order number. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for signed permission and may ask you to confirm your identity directly.
Timing. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time (up to 45 more days), we will tell you why.
Appeals. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within the time your state's law requires. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
California "Shine the Light." California residents may ask once a year whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing. Email us with the subject "Shine the Light."
8. Retention, security, and other terms
How long we keep information.
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Orders, invoices, and tax records (including resale certificates) | At least 7 years, as required for tax and accounting |
| Account and Met Pro records | While your account is open, then as long as needed for tax, legal, or warranty purposes |
| Warranty registrations | For the life of the warranty, plus time to resolve any open claims |
| Marketing lists | Until you unsubscribe; we then keep your email on a do-not-contact list so we honor your choice |
| Support messages and call transcripts | As long as needed to support you and your account and to improve our service |
| Privacy requests | At least 24 months, as required by law |
| Analytics and session recordings | According to each provider's retention settings (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) |
When we no longer need information for these purposes, we delete or de-identify it. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted checkout through our payment processor. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International visitors. We are based in the United States, and your information is processed in the US. If you visit from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and handled in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
Third-party links. The Site links to sites we do not control, such as YouTube and marketplaces. Their privacy policies apply there.
Changes to this Policy. We review this Policy at least once a year. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and post a notice on the Site or email you before the change takes effect.
