    Product Description & Overview

    The fastest way to connect a refrigerator or ice maker to a nearby water shut-off valve. Twist the adapters on by hand and push the PEX tubing in. No tools, and it takes less than 5 minutes.

    What's in the kit

    • Tubing: 6 ft of 1/4" OD PEX
    • Adapters: 1/4" OD quick connect female adapters (2)
    • Fits: most refrigerators and valves with a 1/4" OD port or 1/4" COMP connection
    • Rating: 160 psi at 73°F, 100 psi at 180°F
    • Materials: non-toxic and safe for drinking water; no odor or taste
    • Note: the tubing may be printed 1/8"; that's the inside diameter. The outside diameter is 1/4".

    Install tips: don't overtighten the plastic adapters (they can crack). Push the tubing fully into each adapter.

    Which ice maker kit do I need?

    • Tapping into the under-sink shut-off valve (3/8" COMP or 1/2" OD - 7/16" SJ): ICEMK2514 (1/4" OD) or ICEMK2538 (3/8" OD)
    • Running a line from an existing RO or water filtration system: ROFKIT2514
    • A dedicated water valve right behind the fridge: PEX6FADP2D (6 ft PEX line)
    • Tapping a bare copper pipe with no valve: ICEMKNV2514 (self-piercing saddle valve)

    Installation

    Shut off the water. Twist the adapters on by hand at the valve and the refrigerator; do not overtighten the plastic adapters. Push the PEX tubing fully into each adapter, turn the water on and check for leaks.
